During the Gaffa's recent skiing holiday to Maribel, France, he became friends with Mark, Sander (pictured below) & Family from Sydney, Australia. Sander has just joined his new team Lilli Pilli F.C. for the 2009/10 season. Mark was the soccer coach of North Caringbah Red Backs J.S.C
Who know's hopefully one day Willow Wanderers F.C could tour to Oz to test Real Football vs Soccer!! :-)
The Mighty Willow maintained and unbeaten run of 9 streight league wins until January 31st 2009 until they were finally beaten 3-2 by Stoke Road Legion. They were the ONLY club to do 'The Double' over eventual League Champions "The Mitre". Willow Wanderers F.C. finished a respectable 3rd themselves and gained promotion to Division 3 in the East Berkshire Football League!

Back in August 2008 the Gaffa anounced that the club had recieved interest by an external financial invester.
Unfortunately, six weeks into intensive communications between the Investor and Club Director Colin Jacobs, talks broke down due to the total investment being offered did not meet the overall evaluation of the club.
The Club Director rejected the bid and no further bid has been received.
