Colin is one of the founders of Willow Wanderers Football Club which was established in 2005. After setting up and naming the club Colin was named as Manager and nicknamed as "The Gaffa" by his fellow players.

Colin grew up playing rugby at Windsor Rugby Club from the age of 14 to 19 and in his 1st season he was voted Most Improved & Players Player of the Season 1989/90. After giving up rugby he managed the Bexley Arms Pool Team. This was his first venture into team management and he went on to enjoy good 5 seasons with The Windsor Pool Assiciation. At the age of 25, Colin turned his interest to football management buy setting up a Powerleague 5-a-side team named "Footbul Club De Bexley". After winning a couple of divisions and 2 years later the team split and changed from Thursday football to Monday nights where the newly named "Inter Miflange" was formed.

After a successful 3 years of running Inter, 3 members of the team (Colin, Cheese & Stu) decided that it would be fantasic to play Saturday afternoon 11-a-side football. A local pub "The Willow Tree" offered to sponsor the club only to withdraw its offer after the club was officially named "Willow Wanderers F.C." Luckily, the club had arranged to play it home fixtures at Datchet Recreational Ground which apparently once upon a time was named "The Willow Fields". After the first season a vote was taken to keep the name Willow Wanderers F.C.

Colin enjoyed a good 1st season but finished 11th in Division 3. In the 2nd season the club finished 9th in Division 4 and he was voted "Most Improved Player of the Season - 2006/07" by his fellow players.

The Mighty Willow has now come to the end of it's 3rd Season and has comfortably finished 7th. The 2007/08 season was very successful and the club won more league/cup matches than in previous years.
